Nursery Owner

Hello I'm Dilpreet, the owner of Monkey Puzzle Wokingham. I've always had an interest in education because the place I came from originally was lacking behind in literacy. My parents gave us the opportunity to study in schools which were 12 kms away from my home village. To have a better future for my family, I studied Engineering and started my career in telecoms with Ericsson. After migrating to the UK, I again studied my post-graduation from Queen Mary University, which led to my career to IT as a Business Analyst. But in the back of my mind, there was always a passion to do something with education. A few years ago, as my wife and I were beginning the process of trying to adopt a child, our local agency suggested that we spend some time with children in a nursery settings. I visited a nursery for those sessions and instantly felt like this is what I want to do. Not long after that, we were blessed as my wife became pregnant and we took it as a sign.

One of the biggest challenges with running a nursery is around staffing and retaining high quality, passionate nursery workers. I want to change this at Monkey Puzzle Wokingham. This became one of my goals and I want to work to attract people to work for this industry by showing others how a nursery can be run where staff feel trusted and rewarded for the hardwork they put in to their career.

Now we are open, I'm so proud of the care we are providing for our children and the amazing starts we are giving to their lives.
